Select your treatment from Offerings and send your chosen date and time through to us, along with any other information or requirements that you may have. Once we have agreed your treatment date and time we will begin to personally process your booking. We kindly request full payment to secure your booking. Once we receive your payment, we will allocate a therapist(s) to you, you will then receive an email confirming your reservation.
48 hours before your arrival, we will we will confirm everything with you and just check that you are Coronavirus symptom free and not living with anyone who has symptoms. Medical Health Consultation Forms and Corona declaration will be completed with your Therapist.
At The Retreat New Forest
Please be aware of your treatment time so that you are ready to meet your Therapist. We ask that you wait in the main entrance area so that we can take you up to The Loft.
What do we need to provide to experience the treatments? (For Holiday Home Bookings Only)
Our therapists will arrive with their own Fine Tuning products and equipment, so you just need to provide enough room to accommodate a massage couch (6ft x 2.5ft) if you are having massages or facials. Our Therapists will need access to hot water and possibly a plug socket. . They are unable to drink any alcohol when working, so don’t feel offended if they don’t take you up on your offer of a glass of fizz. Other than that our therapists will work with you to make your booking as hassle free as possible.
How should I prepare myself for my treatment?
We ask that you remove all jewellery and put it in a safe place so that our therapists can work without any restrictions. We cannot accept responsibility for anything that gets lost or damaged. If you have opted for a facial, it can be helpful to remove make-up prior to treatment. Perhaps choose something comfortable to wear that you can put on after an oily treatment, if you are having a massage. If you are having a clothed treatment, please wear comfies.
What areas / county do you cover?
We are contracted to provide treatments at The Retreat in New Forest.
We also have therapists based in East Dorset that can come to your AirBnB or Self Catering location. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you give us as much notice as possible. Treatments, travel and therapist time are included in the price,
Can we change the treatments on the day?
We are unable to change treatment choices within 1 week of the booking. If you need to make any changes to the schedule on the day, please discuss with your therapist on arrival and they will work with you to try and accommodate your request however we cannot guarantee that they will be able to accommodate the change. If on the day of your retreat or holiday you would like another or additional treatments, please contact FTT directly.
Any guests arriving late for their appointment will only receive a treatment within their allotted time.
What products do the therapists use?
Fine Tuning Treatments use and love , Wideye Natural Skin Care, Tropic Vegan Skin Care products and Fine Tuning 5 Elements Aromatic Oils. Our products are Vegan, completely natural and additive free. The ethos of Tropic and Wideye, observe an ecologically aware approach to skin and body care and are also carbon neutral. You can purchase a Skin Care starter kit from your Therapist as The Retreat, payment can be made directly via this Tropic link.
If you have sensitive skin or any allergies, please let us know on your booking and consultation forms.
All our therapists are paid a competitive rate of pay when working with us, but if you are happy with the service and treatments you have experienced and wish to tip the therapist, then please do. There is no obligation to tip.
What happens if I need to change the amount of guests that are attending?
We ask for as much notice as possible (a minimum of 7 days notice), as this could affect how many therapists are needed for your location or retreat. Refunds can not be given to those guests not attending their treatment if they cancel within 24 hours of the booking date. See our cancellation policy below.
Can anyone have therapies/treatments?
Everyone can have a treatment, however some therapies are not advisable if guests have a medical condition. We can provide you with information regarding the medical conditions that are avoided these include, epilepsy, diabetes and cancer. If you or one of your guests is pregnant, we cannot provide our massage service in the first trimester (12WKS). If you are pregnant and we have a pregnancy massage qualified therapist for you, please advise FTT on your stage of pregnancy and we will let you know whether massage can be offered.
We also advise that you do not drink any alcohol prior to any of the therapies as this can have serious side-effects. FTT Therapists reserve the right to refuse to treat a client or guest if they feel that a condition is contra-indicated to their therapy.
Payment in full is required to secure your treatment booking. You can pay via PayPal, debit card and credit card through our secure online Quickbooks payment site. Once we receive payment and have allocated a therapist, your booking is secured. 48 hours prior to the booking, we will confirm your treatment requests, check you are "fit and well", and finalise details. Please check your Quickbooks invoice before you pay so that the time, date and treatment/s is correct. Once you are happy and have paid for your booking/s, treaments are non refundable or transferable. Our therapists do not accept payment on the day of the event. We aim to be as accommodating and flexible with your needs and requests for your bookings and kindly ask for your understanding and co-operation along the way.
Cancellations If any therapist is unable to perform his/her full engagement due to sickness, injury or any other reason then FTT will use all reasonable endeavours to fulfil its obligation by providing an alternative Freelance Therapist/s. This may involve the client/guests changing their treatment choice depending on the replacement therapist’s skills. If an alternative treatment is provided, no refund will be given on that treatment. Should any part of the engagement not be fulfilled in its entirety, FTT will deduct on a pro-rata basis the cost of the unfulfilled aspect of the booking.
If an unforeseen event beyond our control (force majure) does occur, FTT agrees to notify the client as soon as practical and FTT has the right to cancel the booking with full refund or reschedule. If there is a national Covid lockdown, we will give you a voucher to reschedule your treatment.
Guest Cancellation Policies Cancellations made with 14 days notice or more – 100% refund Cancellations made with less than 14 days notice – 50% refund Cancellations made with les than 7 days notice - 20% refund Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice – 0% refund In these difficult times, we understand that guests may be in a situation with Covid and we ask that your booking is either transfered or issued with a 50% gift voucher and not refunded. We do not offer refunds for gift vouchers. What happens if I am not fully satisfied with my treatment? It is important to us that you are happy. If for any reason you have received a treatment that does not meet your expectations, we ask that you speak to the therapist directly on the day to resolve the issue. If you do not discuss any issues with your therapist at the time, then we are unable to deal with this after the booking in an effective manner. If you are still dissatisfied after having spoken to the therapist, we ask that you contact us at your earliest convenience so that we may discuss appropriate action. In order to be considered for a refund we do require notification of your dissatisfaction within 5 days of the booking having taken place, we do not guarantee a refund unless there has been significant mis conduct.
